OUR FLAG
| The
flag of JKLF is tricolour i.e. Green, Red and White as shown in the
sketch. All the three colours represent two things each. The green colour
represents the greenery of Kashmir as well as its Muslim population.
(Green is the religious colour of Muslims). Red colour represents its
revolutionary ideology (Red colour is the colour of revolution as also
of the blood that has been shed in the process of Kashmiris freedom
struggle) The White colour represents the peaceful struggle of JKLF
for national liberation. It also represents the non-Muslim minorities
of the State. The breadth of the flag is 2/3 of its length. The most
interesting thing in the flag is that the ratio between its green part
and white part i.e. 77.7% and 22.2% is the same as the ratio between
the Muslim and non-Muslim populations of the State |
