Historical Long March of JKLF Stopped by Pakistan, Upton 20,000 people rallied
Convoys from all over Pakistan administerd Kashmir were moving towards Islamabad to protest against Pakistan's recent move to give province-like status to Gilgit-Baltistan. They were stopped at Pak-Patan, the border of Azad Kashmir and Pakistan, where police erected hurdles on the roads, preventing the protestors marching towards Islamabad. JKLF activists were determined to move towards Islamabad where hundreds of JKLF activists and other Kashmiri people were waiting for them. JKLF has condemned this undemocratic action by Pakistan. Intra-Kashmir Conferences in all regions of Kashmir imperative
Intra-Kashmir Conferences in all regions of Kashmir are imperative to find final settlement of Kashmir issue. This was stated by leaders of both parts of Kashmir in a reception hosted by Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) in the honour of Awami National Conference Vice President Mr. Muzaffar Shah here in London. JKLF Press Conference in London about Gilgit-Baltistan
London, 11 September 2009:
JKLF and people of Kashmir will strongly oppose and resist conspiracies   against the sacred cause of freedom and the fundamental rights of the people from all parts of forcibly divided state of Jammu Kashmir of which Gilgit-Baltistan is an integral part till the end. JKLF Proposes a Revolutionary Govt for Azad Kashmir & Gilgit-Baltistan
Islamabad, 4 September 2009:The Gilgit Baltistan Package presented by Government of Pakistan on 29th of August 2009 has been forthrightly rejected by Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF). JKLF Demands to unite Gilgit Baltistan and Azad Kashmir as a sovereign and democratic state. MORE
 
(Srinagar) 13th of Aug 2009 was observed as Kashmiri peoples Right of Self-determination Day here in Srinagar. A seminar was organised by Zonal body of JKLF in Srinagar. In This seminar various leader of different political parties, lawyers, intellectuals, journalists and people from different communities participated. A unanimous resolution was also passed after the open discussion. Islamabad, Aug 14: The All Parties Committee for Kashmiri peoples’ right to self-determination, an alliance of more than a dozen political parties of AJK and Gilgit Baltistan, while observing Right to Self-determination Day, Thursday, made a passionate appeal to the world community to help resolve the dispute of Kashmir in accordance with the wishes and aspirations of Kashmiri people. “Trehgam Resistance Committee” demands action against molestation of girl
Trehgam, Kupwara (July 10, 2009) Senior Vice Chairman of JKLF SM Afzal has strongly condemned the molestation of a girl by Indian army and her subsequent death in Dolipora, Trehgam.  Amina Masoodi was abducted, molested and killed by the TR160 Battalion of Indian regular Army based in Trehgam. The local people of Trehgam and adjourning villages have made a committee called “Trehgam Resistance Committee” followed by a meeting of notables of the area. The committee is being lead by S M Afzal. MORE

August 13 to be observed as Kashmiri Peoples Right of Self-determination Day
(Press Release, Islamabad): Thursday August 13, 2009 will be observed as Kashmiri Peoples Right of Self-determination Day inside Jammu Kashmir State and on international level with great fervor and zeal under the auspices of All Parties Committee for Kashmiri People Right of Self-determination comprising 16 main political parties of Azad Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan. This announcement was made by Mr. Amanullah Khan, Convener All Parties Committee for Kashmiri Peoples Right of Self-determination during a press conference here following an important meeting of the Committee which took that decision. JKLF Demands Release of Veteran Kashmiri Leader Shabbir Ahmed Shah
(London, July 11, 2009)
JKLF has demanded the immediate and unconditional release of veteran Kashmiri leader Shabir Ahmed Shah. He has been illegally incarcerated by Indian authorities since August 2008.  In a statement issued from London, head of JKLF diplomatic committee Prof. Zafar Khan has said that sacrifices rendered by Shabir Ahmed Shah are enormous and he has stood firm to his commitments despite all odds. He said that this illegal imprisonment was not new to him and such kind of tactics by Indian government can not demoralize the Kashmiri people. MORE

"All Parties Kashmir Committee" writes President  OBAMA to solve Kashmir issue
Islamabad: The All Parties Committee for Kashmiri Peoples Right of Self-determination, comprising representatives of 16 political parties of Azad Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan, has declared through a memorandum sent to Mr. Barack Hussain Obama, the new US President, that a solution of Kashmir Issue will be acceptable to it only if it was based on freely expressed will of the people of the entire Jammus Kashmir State as it existed on August 14-15,

JKLF stresses for revival of Coordination Committee in Kashmir
GK NEWS NETWORK (Srinagar, June 6, 09) The Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front, JKLF, has emphasized the need for revival of Coordination Committee formed in 2008 to make the ongoing struggle organized and more effective. Expressing strong resentment over the arrest and detention of pro-movement leaders and activists, a spokesman of JKLF, in a statement, said such ‘repressive’ steps by the government could not prevent the freedom loving people from continuing their struggle. More

Reasons for the formation of "All Parties Kashmir Committee"
Islamabad: Explaining the reasons behind formation of the Committee, the letters said that first the people of Pakistan as also the majority of Kashmiris thought and rightly so, that ideological disunity among Kashmiri leaders was irreparably damaging Pakistan’s as also Kashmiris’ cause and secondly, and more importantly, the recent India-Pak agreement, while expressing the resolve of both to solve Kashmir Issue, made no mention whatsoever, of Kashmiris’ inherent, internationally recognized and pledged right of  self-determination nor were Kashmiri people, the real and worst effected party, accepted as even an ordinary party and allow their representatives to participate in the meetings aimed at trying to find a solution of Kashmir issue.  JKLF condemns slapping of PSA against Zahoor Ahmed Butt
Srinagar (May 21, 2009) The Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) on Saturday expressed serious concern over the slapping of PSA on its senior leader, Zahoor Ahmad Bhat and his shifting to Kot Bilwal Jail, Jammu. “Zahoor, younger brother of Shaheed Muhammad Maqbool Bhat, who returned from Pakistan-administered-Kashmir after 19 years, was arrested on February 12, after he addressed a public meeting at Trehgam in north Kashmir on February 11,” said a spokesman of JKLF in a statement. Halt All Human Rights abuses in Kashmir ... JKLF tells India
London (June 01, 2009) JKLF has strongly condemned the continued human rights abuse in Kashmir by Indian army. In a joint statement JKLF has condemned in strongest possible terms the rape and molestation of two Kashmiri women in Shopian and their ruthless killing. JKLF has asked the international community to speak out for the increasing plight of Kashmiri people and stop India’s genocide in Kashmir.
