They can do it through telephone and email. CEC has the highest executive authority and its new decisions become part of the Constitution. It must meet at least once in three months. The Policy Planning Committee (PPC) comprises a president, a Secretary, the Senior Vice Chairman, the Secretary General and heads of political, diplomatic, organizational, Finance, Armed and Publicity Wings (Committee). It is a sort of think tank and evolves policies about important matters concerning the freedom movement, the ideology etc and recommends it to the CEC which considers the recommendations and puts them into practice if approved or in amended form. The CEC fills the vacancies in central organisations, hears appeals against decision of the organisation of lower level, amends constitutions etc. The Committees, i.e. the Political, Diplomatic Organizational, Armed, Finance and Publicity Committee work in their own fields to enhance the cause of the freedom movement, the ideology and the organisation.

OUR WOMENS WING

Women have been playing important roles, directly or indirectly in liberation movements. Kashmiri Women have also done so though not to the standard of the women of Algeria, Palestine, Vietnam and Ireland etc.
For a number of years JKLF’s Women Wing called Khawateen Markaz (Ladies Centre) in Srinagar was quite active.
In Azad Kashmir a strong ladies wing was active since 1988 headed by Begum Raja Muzaffar. Lady member of JKLF participated in our rallies protest demarcations, public meeting. About 200 of them walked with men from Muzaffarabad i.e. about 45 kilo meters right up to Chanari during JKLF march towards LoC on Feb. 12, 1992. Our Girls wing in AJK University was also quite active. But during last about 6 years some of our active members went abroad, some got married and some became inactive with the result that our Women Wing has become quite inactive.
The ladies and girls who were quite active in the past included Mrs. Raja Muzaffar, Nadia Ashraf, Tahira Peerzada, Rubuia Bashir, Rukhsana Wani, Farhat Badar, Sabira Sultana, Azra Yaqoob, Yasmeen, Ayesha Gul, Zarqa Mir, Shahida Butt, Rabia Suleria, Shakela Wani, Binat Sattar Mujahid, Azra Butt, Khalida Bhatti, Nighat Shams, Mrs Hayat Lone, Mrs A.A. Kanth, Mrs Shirin Taj, Mrs Kh. Fateh Mohd. Razia Butt, Baji Shamim, Rabia Muzaffar, Safia Rafiqee, Farakh Shiekh. G.A. Butts wives and daughters.  Nadia Ghani, Shazia Nazki, Rehana Kanwal, Shazia Ashraf. Mrs. Dr Farooq’s and Mrs. Amanullah Khans indirect services to the movement and the party are most valuable. Mussarat Nosheen of Mirpur filed nomination papers for election to Azad Kashmir Assembly but her papers were rejected because she had declared that she was working for complete independence and not for accession to Pakistan of her motherland as required under election law.
